- In-service police personnel: up to 30 years
- Ex-servicemen: age relaxation as per service period
Candidate must not be born after 01 January 2007.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of four stages:
- Written examination
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Endurance Test (PET)
- Medical examination
PST and PET are qualifying in nature. Merit is prepared based on written exam marks, including NCC bonus where applicable.
